SWIMMING ACROSS THE STRAITS OF GIBRALTAR

This time could not be happen !!!
Weather conditions have impeded start the attemting to swimming across the straits of Gibraltar.
After a week waiting for, the Assocition of Swimming Across the Straits of Gibralter, did not allowed it, due to the west wind which during the all week.
Can only swimm with west wing, not touching Maroccan land between Punta Cires and Ceuta. The wind and tides pushed them in the opposite direction, and would drag from Punta Cires to Tanger, area in which the Maroccan authorities are strictly forbeeden the arrival.
Partner from Club Natación Traviesas Master Vigo, Eugenio Fuentes Fernández, in his name and on behalf of the other three travelling companions (Andy Ortega, Angel Turégano and Carlos Artabe Guerra), would like to thank the support granted, in the hope and firm conviction that they will try again in the shortest period possible.
